* Auditions must be scheduled at least three weeks in advance
* Early Action applicants should audition on or before December 7, 2013
* Suggested LAST date for Fall 2013 Freshmen/Graduate applicants is March 1, 2014
* Suggested date for transfer students is March 29, 2014 (March 26 for Strings)
* Special auditions may be arranged only under extenuating circumstances.
*A high quality pre-screening sound file (e.g. mp3) or CD/DVD is required for those requesting an audition in VOICE (including classical repertoire). Please send the link to the file to or send the CD/DVD to Music Admissions Director, 271 Fine Arts Center, UMass, Amherst MA 01003.

"Strings only" dates are for CLASSICAL strings - jazz bassists/guitarists should not choose these dates.
